Jen has experienced the benefits of massage since a young age, starting with treating herself at the spa. As she became involved with dance, therapeutic massages became a regular thing to help with overall tightness and the occasional muscle strain. This first hand experience in massage as rehabilitation is part of what inspired Jen to become a massage therapist, and is what inspires how she treats. Her goal is to get you back on the dance floor, or to the gym, or doing whatever it is you’re passionate about, as soon as possible! She enjoys giving a therapeutic treatment, focusing in on your particular areas of concern.
Jen graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy and has since taken various continuing education courses, including a Prenatal practicum in the High Risk Unit at Sunnybrook Hospital. She has a special interest in TMJ(Jaw) Dysfunction, Pelvic Health and Pre/Postnatal massage. An appointment generally includes an intake/assessment, massage and homecare. She uses a combination of Myofascial Release, Swedish techniques, stretching and joint mobilizations. In order to prolong the benefits of the massage she will usually send you home with various exercises or stretches.
During her time off Jen enjoys salsa dancing, long walks, and reading a good book while sipping on a Cuban coffee!
