Social Worker, Psychotherapist
Lisa Azzopardi is a Social Worker and Psychotherapist with over 12 years of clinical experience. Lisa received her Undergraduate Degree in Child & Youth Care from Ryerson University and her Masters in Social Work from Wilfred Laurier University. Lisa is also a member of the Ontario College of Social Workers & Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW).
Lisa has a wealth of experience supporting individuals and families who are experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, addictions, eating disorders, adoption challenges, postpartum adjustment, grief & loss, family conflict, divorce and separation, trauma and interpersonal challenges. Her clinical experiences include working in inpatient & community based mental health organizations & providing individual and family therapy in intensive treatment programs across Canada and the United States. Lisa has extensive experience in facilitating various types of groups for parents and adolescents.
Lisa has received training in CBT, DBT (The Linehan Institute), Narrative Therapy, TF-CBT, Grief & Loss (Smith College School of Social Work), Attachment Disorders, Mindfulness and Teaching Children’s Yoga.
On a personal note, Lisa enjoys playing soccer & volleyball, cycling to work, and practicing yoga.
